With the recent expansion of healthcare services on the island, it can be challenging to navigate your options.
To simplify navigation, Vashon Health Care District (VHCD) has developed a 5-Part Continuum of Care. This quick reference guide is designed to help islanders easily identify the appropriate provider for their specific health concerns.

DispatchHealth has been serving Vashon since October 1, 2024, providing urgent care on the island seven days a week, including holidays. Most insurance plans are covered, and new insurers are being added regularly.
The Vashon Island Fire & Rescue’s Mobile Integrated Health program (MIH) is also active on-island, providing in-home services at no cost to patients. MIH has added a physician’s assistant to enhance services further.
Compassionate Care: Urgent Medical Care
A resource for Vashon's uninsured or underinsured. The Compassionate Care Program is a program paid for by the Vashon Health District designed to provide access to urgent medical care services provided by DispatchHealth to those who meet eligibility requirements.

Vashon Pharmacy has expanded its offerings to include clinical care for managing chronic conditions and treating uncomplicated acute conditions, in addition to its traditional vaccination and medication dispensing services.
Sea Mar Clinic at Sunrise Ridge and Vashon Natural Medicine (VNM)
provide primary care services throughout the week, with VNM also offering naturopathic care as part of its practice.
