WA Relay - TTY

Vashon Youth & Family Services is dedicated to providing ease of communication for all of our clients. If you are hearing impaired or have a speech disability please follow the below instructions for dialing our dedicated line via WA Relay so we can best service your needs, concerns, or crisis calls.

During normal business hours (M-F, 9AM-5PM):

  1. Dial WA Relay using 711 or 1-800-833-6384 to connect with a relay operator. Or use your specialized equipment to contact the relay line if you have it available.

  2. Provide the relay operator with the dedicated number 206-463-0715

  3. Wait for the relay operator to confirm that the receptionist has prioritized your call: you will get a high priority “go ahead” from the operator. This means that all other calls to VYFS will be put to voicemail during the conversation with the WA relay operator so that the receptionist or therapist you are speaking with does not put the call on hold at any time or miss any of the translations/relays.
