Play & Learn Bilingual playgroup
Every Monday morning from 10-11:30. A weekly, drop-in facilitated playgroup for caregivers and children, birth to 5 years old. Free!
With both Spanish and English components, playgroups include open play time, art projects, structured movement or song time, stories, parent support/coaching, and time to connect with other adults. Facilitated by Bri Coghlan.
About our facilitator: Briana is Guatemalan-American and grew up in Guatemala City. She moved to the US in 2002 to go to college in California. In 2011 she moved to the Pacific Northwest with her husband and they are now raising two daughters. She enjoys learning to play guitar, good coffee, and spending time with her friends and loved ones.
The purpose of Kaleidoscope Play & Learn™ groups is:
To provide caregivers with information, resources, support, and connections to promote optimal development of the children in their care
To build connections, friendships and a circle of mutual support among people who care for children
To provide children with intentional, developmentally-appropriate learning experiences with their peers and caregivers
To instill in children and caregivers the love of – and quest for – life-long learning.
Kaleidoscope Play & Learn™ takes a whole child – whole family – whole community approach. Children are members of families and communities, and they are affected by the well-being of their families and communities. Kaleidoscope Play & Learn™ works toward supporting families and communities where children can thrive and grow.
