NEW! Parents as teachers Family Support Program

Parents are their children's first and most important teacher.

Parents are their children's first and most important teacher.

We are excited to introduce VYFS/Family Place‚Äôs new program for parents with children from prenatal to kindergarten age.

Our three Family Support Specialists are trained in the Parents As Teachers (PAT) model, a comprehensive early childhood program focused on fostering child development, parenting skills, and whole family well-being.

Participating families receive twice-monthly personal visits offering timely, age-appropriate activities for parents/caregivers and their children, developmental resources and parenting tools. Yearly health and developmental screenings, group meetings, family events, and more are offered.

Families are supported in crafting and meeting their own personal goals and needs. The program is funded through King County's Best Starts for Kids grant program. Participation is free of charge; parents/caregivers are asked to make a two-year participation commitment. Learn more.

To find out more, call 206-463-5502 or fill out the form below and someone will get back to you within 48 hours.
